CINCINNATI, Ohio– The Withrow Tigers will travel to Anderson High School to take on the Raptors on Friday night in a playoff matchup. Withrow finished the regular season at 8-2 and hasn’t allowed a single point since September 27th against Taft. The Tigers have only allowed 93 points all season and have six shutout wins, including their last four games. Withrow beat Piqua by a score of 45-0 in their neutral site playoff game last Friday. Withrow finished 3-1 in conference play, good for second place in the CMAC. They rank 133rd in the state of Ohio according to MaxPreps.

Anderson finished 10-0 in the regular season, winning every game by at least double digits except one against Winton Woods. The Raptors have scored 489 points this season and won the ECC with a perfect 9-0 record in conference play. Anderson will be well rested coming off of a first round bye week. They rank number 5 in the state of Ohio and 61st nationally according to MaxPreps.

WIthrow is led by head coach Anthony Berry. Sophomore quarterback Sa’Vion Davis has 1,282 total yards (918 passing, 364 rushing) and 12 touchdowns (nine passing, three rushing). Sophomore defensive back Mister Achoe has four interceptions, including one returned for a touchdown.

Anderson is led by head coach Evan Dreyer. Junior quarterback Owen Scalf has 3,722 total yards (3,307 passing, 415 rushing) and 35 touchdowns (29 passing, six rushing). Junior wide receiver Tysin Weaver has 53 receptions for 878 yards and 15 touchdowns. Senior linebacker Brady Kuhn has 86 tackles, 6.5 sacks, and 20 tackles for a loss.

The only common opponent that Withrow and Anderson share is Milford. Withrow beat Miford 35-0 in their season opener, while Anderson beat Milford 63-0 back in week six.

Anderson is 7-3 against Withrow since 2012. They used to play on a yearly basis when they were both in the ECC until Withrow joined the CMAC after the 2020 football season. The last time these teams met was in the 2023 postseason where Anderson won 49-28.
