CINCINNATI, Ohio– The Anderson Raptors beat the Withrow Tigers by a score of 29-6 on a foggy Friday night.

Jordan Davis got the scoring started with a one-yard touchdown run just two minutes and ten seconds into the game. A costly fumble by Withrow deep in their own end was recovered by Brady Kuhn in the endzone to give the Raptors a 14-0 halfway through the second quarter.

It was scoreless through the third quarter before the Raptors tacked on a safety and two touchdowns almost back-to-back in the fourth quarter. Kuhn made the tackle for the safety with 7:30 left in the game. Owen Scalf found Tysin Weaver for a 38-yard touchdown on the following possession. Tegan Jallick caught a 21-yard touchdown from Scalf just a little over a minute later to make the score 29-0 with 4:15 left in the game. Scalf finished with 402 total yards (294 passing, 108 rushing) and two touchdowns through the air.

Withrow scored on a one-yard run by Sa’Vion Davis with less than 30 seconds left, but it was too-little, too-late for the Tigers.

It was a turnover fest and a penalty-filled game. Withrow turned it over four times and committed 11 penalties. Anderson turned it over twice and committed 12 penalties. The Raptors out gained the Tigers 430-184.

Cooper Kathman had 116 receiving yards and six receptions. Defensive back Jerod Lindsey had two interceptions, while Ace Alston had a fumble recovery. Defensive end Landen Edwards finished with 12 tackles and two sacks.

Running back Chanelli Gilden had nine carries for 77 yards and a long of 22 yards. Christi Browner led the Tigers defense with 13 tackles. Dantrell Moses had a fumble recovery, while Joshua Erkins had an interception.

Anderson advances to 11-0 overall and will face La Salle next Friday night at 7 p.m. Withrow’s four-game winning streak comes to an end, ending their season with a 9-3 overall record.
