CINCINNATI, Ohio- Anderson and Teays Valley will meet in the postseason at Anderson High School on Friday, October 16th at 7 p.m. Anderson is 5-2 and will look to build on their two-game winning streak. Teays Valley is 3-3 after a 2-0 start to the season. Anderson is coming off of a 52-18 win against Withrow. Teays Valley is coming off of a 68-0 win against Briggs. Which one of these teams will carry the momentum of their recent blowout victories?

 

Junior Tyler Love will be at quarterback for the Vikings. Love has 434 passing yards and five passing touchdowns on the season. Tyler Love also has added 119 yards on the ground and has found the endzone twice when rushing. Leading rusher Camden McDanel has 558 rushing yards and six rushing touchdowns for Teays Valley. Senior Landyn Brown has 228 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Hunter Young has found the end zone twice and has 171 rushing yards. The leading receiver is senior Cooper Booth. Booth has 5 receiving touchdowns and 207 yards receiving.

 

Anderson is led by Jackson Kuhn, who has 2,110 passing yards and 16 touchdowns through the air. Kuhn also has 537 rushing yards and 13 rushing touchdowns. Andrew Williams has found the end zone eight times on the ground and has contributed 435 rushing yards on the season. Williams also has four receiving touchdowns to go along with 390 receiving yards. Jerrick McClanahan, Joey Faulkner, and Evan Upchurch all have over 400 receiving yards and have a combined nine touchdown receptions. William Knott has four interceptions for the Redskins.

 

Teays Valley is averaging almost 210 rushing yards per game this season. They have 17 rushing touchdowns as a team and eight different Vikings have scored a rushing touchdown this season. Teays Valley had 387 rushing yards and eight rushing touchdowns against Briggs last Friday.

 

Anderson has elapsed 500 yards of total offense in 4 out of their 7 games so far this season. The Redskins have only been held to under 30 points one time thus far. Every Anderson game has been decided by double-digits this season.

 

Common Opponents: Kings defeated Teays Valley 41-10 on September 25th. Kings beat Anderson 70-34 on September 5th.
