PIQUA, Ohio- The closest game for either of these teams this season ends in a 29-22 win for Anderson.

Jackson Kuhn had two passing touchdowns and two rushing touchdowns on the night. He completed his first 14 passes of the game. Kuhn had 106 rushing yards and 469 passing yards. 175 of those passing yards went to Joey Faulkner, who had 19 receptions and a receiving touchdown. Jerrick McClanahan also had a receiving touchdown on just four receptions for 102 yards.

Ca’Ron Coleman had 22 carries for 130 yards and two touchdowns for Piqua.

Anderson held a 20-7 lead at halftime, but Piqua stormed back and tied the game at 22 in the fourth quarter. Garrett Schrubb had a 69-yard touchdown catch from Brady Ouhl in the third quarter to cut the lead to 20-14. Anderson responded with a safety to extend the lead to 22-14. Ca’Ron Coleman’s rushing touchdown from the two-yard line and Ouhl’s pass to Jerell Lewis on the two-point conversion tied the game with just 2:27 left in the fourth quarter.

The Redskins failed to convert on 4th down near their own 30-yard line. It was looking like Piqua would escape with a win, but Ouhl was intercepted shortly after with just 1:03 left in the game. Kuhn would go on to throw a 48-yard touchdown pass to Jerrick McClanahan with just under 30 seconds left to seal the victory.

It was Piqua’s first loss of the season, as they fall to 7-1. The Redskins have reached a four-game winning streak and improve to 7-2. It was the most points Piqua has allowed in a game all season.

Anderson will play at La Salle on October 30th at 7 p.m.
