CINCINNATI, Ohio- Anderson fell to La Salle by a score of 55-30 on Friday night. La Salle took a commanding 27-14 lead at the end of the first quarter and stretched that lead to 41-24 by halftime. At one point, the Redskins were only trailing 21-14 with 4:52 in the first quarter. The Lancers had two touchdown runs of over 70 yards each.

 

Jackson Kuhn finished with 505 passing yards and 3 touchdowns. Evan Upchurch had all 3 receiving touchdowns for Anderson and he led the way with 144 receiving yards. Joey Faulkner and Andrew Williams also both each had over 100 receiving yards. Andrew Azeez had a sack and a forced fumble. Brody Foley had a fumble recovery.

 

Zach Branam had 257 rushing yards and four touchdowns for La Salle. Jack Rutz had two rushing touchdowns and 118 yards on the ground. Davay Hill and Garrett Patterson also had a rushing touchdown each. The Lancers shut down the run, only giving up 18 yards on 20 attempts. JJ Ruffin had two sacks and Will Heffner accounted for one as well. Devonte Smith had a forced fumble and an interception. Iesa Jarmon had a fumble recovery.

 

La Salle rushed for 445 yards and averaged 9.5 yards per carry. Anderson was playing from behind and ended up passing the ball 73 times. Both teams elapsed 500 yards of total offense.

 

The Lancers will go on to face Winton Woods in the Regional Championship next Friday.

 

Anderson finishes the season at 7-3 overall. Jackson Kuhn finishes as the leading passer in the ECC. Joey Faulkner, Evan Upchurch, Jerrick McClanahan, and Andrew Williams all finish in the top five in terms of receiving yards in the ECC.
