MILFORD, Ohio- The battle between two 5-2 teams ends in a 35-7 win for the Anderson Raptors. Anderson wins its fourth consecutive game after a 2-2 start. The Raptors jumped out to a 21-0 halftime lead, but Milford cut it to 21-7 after three quarters. Anderson then scored twice in the fourth quarter to put the game away.

 

     Griffin Scalf finished with 239 passing yards and two touchdowns through the air. He also rushed for 93 yards and had a rushing touchdown. Evan Upchurch lead the way on the ground for the Raptors, rushing for 120 yards and a touchdown. Joey Faulkner caught the ball 14 times and had 140 yards. Anderson had 28 first downs and 479 yards of offense.

 

     The defense of Anderson also played really well, recording three sacks and two interceptions as a team. Noah Merkle, Cole Hinkle, and Brody Foley each had a sack. Max Muehlenkamp and Wyatt Holt came away with one interception each.

 

     Milford struggled offensively all night, only gaining 102 total yards and nine first downs. Nick Scally had 15 tackles and a sack for the Eagles. Bryce Burelson had an interception.

 

     Anderson improves to 6-2 and will be home against Loveland on Friday at 7 p.m. Milford falls to 5-3 and will travel to take on Lebanon on Friday at 7 p.m.
